GOING BEYOND THE TABLE FOR NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH 2024

As National Nutrition Month comes to an end, I wanted to discuss some of the concepts from national nutrition month’s 2024 theme of “Beyond the Table.” This theme encompasses many important nutrition concepts such as embracing farm to table food options, farmers markets, exploring concepts of food safety and sustainability, and the theme I will discuss today: eating not just sitting at the kitchen table, but during a busy schedule and on the go. While this is a vast topic, in this video I discuss the importance of taking a moment to either plan foods to bring a long with you or being mindful when choosing “take out/restaurant” options on the go in order to support an overall healthy lifestyle rather than grabbing whatever the first choice you see is and disregarding your body’s desire to feel good (this can mean physically and/or mentally and emotionally). We will not always make the perfect choice, but our ability to increase mindfulness and choose options that make us feel good most of the time we can continue to optimize our healthy lifestyle.

Are there any other topics you would like to hear more about? DM us to have your topic discussed.

I would love to hear your questions and feedback!
