Your Body Is a Summer Body: Nutrition & Body Image Tips
Summer brings sunshine, pool days, and time with friends—but it can also trigger pressure to have the “perfect bathing suit body.” This mindset often leads to restrictive eating and stress, rather than joy.
Instead, focus on respecting your body at every stage and caring for it consistently throughout the year. This helps remove the pressure and lets you enjoy summer now—not after you “fix” something.
• Wear the bathing suit you feel good in—and own it.
• Aim for balance and moderation in your eating year-round to feel good consistently—not just in a panic before summer.
• Restrictive behaviors will backfire, leaving you tired, frustrated, and missing out on fun.
Struggling with summer food balance? Try these tips:
• Mix in refreshing fruits & veggies like watermelon, grapes, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, or homemade yogurt popsicles.
• Rethink grilling: Add grilled chicken, veggie kabobs, fish, or roasted squash and potatoes to the mix.
• Enjoy your occasional drinks, but also try infused or sparkling waters for a flavorful, hydrating option.
Your body is beautiful and does so much for you—whatever your size or shape. Celebrate it, care for it, and let yourself fully enjoy your summer. ❤️
